Vince Stevens: |
Vince Stevens was born in Champlin,
Minnesota and graduated from Champlin Park High School in 1995.
Mr. Stevens currently resides in Elk River, Minnesota. He is a
1999 cum laude graduate of Carleton College, where he
studied political science and political economy. Mr. Stevens is
also a 2002 graduate of the University of Minnesota Law School,
where he graduated with cum laude honors and on the Dean's
List. Mr. Stevens was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar
Association in May of 2003 and has practiced at Twin Cities' law
firms since that time, including Moss & Barnett P.A. and Gislason
& Hunter L.P.

Mr. Stevens practices in all areas of
civil litigation, with an emphasis in commercial litigation, both
in state and federal court. Mr. Stevens has successfully defended
and prosecuted civil claims at all phases of litigation, including
three cases to conclusion before a jury. Mr. Stevens has made
frequent court appearances and has successfully handled motions,
mediations, arbitration hearings, and appeared before the
Minnesota Court of Appeals. He was recognized by his peers as a
Minnesota Law & Politics
Rising Star Attorney in 2007 and 2009.
Mr. Stevens has represented a wide range of clients in a variety
of businesses, including small to large corporations and also
individuals. In addition to complex business litigation, Mr.
Stevens has also handled cases in the areas of construction law,
employment law and insurance defense. Recently, Mr. Stevens
pursued an age discrimination action against a large employer in
federal court, and was able to obtain a significant settlement for
his client after protracted litigation. Mr. Stevens has also
successfully represented vulnerable homeowners against mortgage
companies engaged in predatory lending practices. On countless
occasions, Mr. Stevens has negotiated fair and reasonable
settlements for his clients, but he is not averse to engaging in
litigation and taking cases to trial.
Outside of law, Mr. Stevens enjoys participating in sports,
Minnesota’s great outdoors, and politics. Vince was a candidate
for the Minnesota Senate in Anoka County in 2000, and a White
House intern in 1997. Mr. Stevens also participates in numerous
community-oriented
activities.
